A Case of Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia (FAB-M2) with Excess of Mast Cells

Abstract

|
Increased mast cells in bone marrow has been observed in a wide variety of
hematologic and non-hematologic disorders, especially in lymphoproliferative disorders,
acute leukemia and preleukemic syndromes. The mechanism or pathophysiologic
significance of increased mast cells of bone marrow in lymptoproliferative and
myeloproliferative disorders is still unclear.
We experienced one case of acute myeloblastic leultemia (FAB M2 type)
with excess of mast cells. The authors report this case with brief review of literature.
